Chapter 4
Tom Kreuter starts off the chapter by saying that he had been called to lead worship at a young age, and that his heart was right or it. The Lord had given him a gift for technique, but eventually it started taking over his heart. He got so fixated on impressive technique to the point where he forgot about Jesus. When he saw his error, he repented and asked for forgiveness. The Lord does this with us all the time, he not only forgives us, but he also corrects us.
I like how you talked about the technique of pin pointing Jesus and going on to talk about he doesn't just forgive he corrects.
ReplyDeleteI wholeheartedly agree with what you're saying, Peter. It's so easy to get fixated on the music and try to get the technique down, but forget about what it's really about. That's so important.
